The musical part of the Frankfurt Book Fair's diverse cultural program was closed by the concert of the Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra, conductor Nikoloz Rachveli. The audience gathered at "Alte Opera" listened to the Georgian classical and the works of contemporary composers. The Trinity Cathedral Choir opened the evening with Svimon Jangulashvili (choirmaster), who performed Georgian chants "Cherubims" (Svetitskhoveli Monastery School) and Zviad Bolkvadze's "Separation". The symphonic orchestra started performance with Bidzina Kvernadze's Dance-Fantasy, and then Alexi Machavariani's ballet "Othelo". The distinguished ovations were awarded to Gori Women Choir led by Teona Tsiramua. They performed works of Ioseb Kechakmadze. The second department of the concert was dedicated to the masterpiece of Georgian legendary Georgian composer Giya Kancheli - STYX, a soloist young alto Giorgi Zagareli, who is one of the best performers of his works in recent years.
