On December 17th, 2019, at 8 p.m Georgia National Music Center & Nikoloz Rachveli present Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony N7 in C major, Op.60, titled „Leningrad“ at the Silk Factory Studio Pavilion (59 Kostava st.).
The Symphony was completed in Kuibishev (Samara) in December 1941 and premiered in that city on March 5, 1942. Dedicated to Leningrad, it was first performed in this city under dire circumstances on August 9, 1942 by Radio Symphony Orchestra.
