  • On April 8, 2016 Giacomo Puccini's Messa di gloria performed for the first time in Georgia.
    Prior to the concert  Paata Burchuladze- Founder of the Georgian Development Fund, Mr. Ian Kelly - US Ambassador to Georgia and Mr.  - Stefano Crescens, Deputy Ambassador of Italy made a speech.
    Despite the recent tragic events the tour has not been postponed and the Belgian choir "Samartini" visied Tbilisi with conductor Marian Mita.  The Samartini Choir,  the Abkhazian State Choir and the Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra organized a charity event dedicated to the memory of people killed in a terrorist attack in France, Turkey and Belgium. For the first time in Georgia Puccini's masterpiece Messa di gloria was created for soloists, choirs and orchestras.
  • Soloists: Mamia Akhvlediani (piano), Tamaz Saginadze (tenor), Irakli Mujiri (bass baritone)
